  • Private Health Insurance : you may be able to claim a rebate through your health insurance if you have Extras cover. We have a HICAPs machine available to process your claim. If you forget your private health card you can be provided with a receipt that you can use to manually claim with your fund.

  • Work Cover Scheme & Transport Accident Schemes: You can consult an osteopath if you have been injured in a workplace or a motor vehicle accident, have a neurological or musculoskeletal injury (i.e. your bones, muscles and joints), and are approved to receive a rebate for your treatment by your claim case manager. You will need a referral from a General Practitioner to see an osteopath for a workplace injury. In approving consultations with an osteopath, your claim case manager may ask if you have been referred by a General Practitioner.

  • Medicare : Chronic Disease Management Plans (EPC plans): You can receive a Medicare rebate for an osteopathic service if you are a patient in the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) program. The CDM program allows General Practitioners (GPs) to refer patients for up to five (5) allied health professional consultations in a calendar year for patients with chronic or terminal medical conditions or complex care needs. For CDM services, you must be referred to an osteopath by a GP, who develops a GP Management Plan and Team Care Arrangement for you. It is up to the GP to decide whether you would benefit from osteopathy as part of your CDM plan. Your GP is responsible for reviewing and revising your overall CDM care plan, even if an osteopath is involved in providing clinical care, advice and support. Your osteopath will provide reports to the GP as part of your management plan. Medicare currently pays $60.39 for an Osteopathic consultation under a CDM plan. We require payment of our concession fee (via an EFTPOS card registered with Medicare), then are able to refund the $60.30 amount back into your account on the day, or - if not, payment of a gap fee of $20.00.

  • Veterans Affairs: patients with a Gold Card or White card (if the the treatment is for an accepted service-related condition) can be treated by an Osteopath and DVA will cover the cost of the treatment - a referral from GP is required (and renewed every 12 months).

  • NDIS clients who self-manage an individualised funding package must consult their scheme case manager to determine if functional and therapeutic services provided by an osteopath can be paid for with package funds. The Osteopath will have to submit a treatment plan and have it approved.

  • Home Care Packages : consult your scheme case manager to determine if functional and therapeutic services provided by an osteopath can be paid for with package funds.
